About Kale
Since forming in October 2022 in New Paltz, NY, Kale continues to build a devoted following, performing over 150 shows across ten states. With a focus on their live show experience, Kale has thrown many notable shows, such as multiple record-breaking sold out headlining shows at their hometown venue Snug Harbor in New Paltz, NY, shows directly supporting Dopapod at the Bearsville Theater and Eggy at Garcia’s at the Capitol Theatre, and after-parties for bands such as the Disco Biscuits and Twiddle (at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, NY). Breaking into the festival circuit, past performances include the Catskill Mountain Jubilee, Summer Jam, Circus of Life, and more.

Press:
  • "For the last two years, Kale has been cementing themselves as a live band fans will never forget. With a unique combination of indie rock, pop, and electronica, the trio has dedicated themselves to the music that brought them all together in the first place."
    NYS Music
  • "Rising New Paltz indie-jam band Kale is set to heat up the stage at Bearsville Theater as they open for nationally touring jam favorites, Dopapod. Known for their eclectic mix of indie-rock, electronic melodies, and improvisational grooves, Kale delivers a high-energy set perfect for fans looking to dance."
    Hudson Valley One
  • "Kale has made their mark locally in their mere six months of existence. With Salzman on bass, Bartow on vocals and keys and Sam Kirschner on drums — the band is scoring gigs from outside of its hometown, hitting legacy bars in Manhattan, Long Island and Vermont and opening for bands they’ve looked up to for years."
